Our Community

The Historic Beaver River Valley Agricultural District in Richmond, Rhode Island preserves one of the last remaining and intact rural agrarian, cultural landscapes in our state.  As residents we choose to live here because we cherish its heritage and history, landscapes, vistas, natural settings and, most importantly, its rural character. 

 

Our goal is to protect the characteristics, qualities and features that define our community and town, by preparing and planning for its future.   We endeavor to educate ourselves and our neighbors about current issues as well as our shared history.   We strive to create a greater awareness of the issues that either promise to improve or threaten to harm our community.
